Our Story
At Halibola, we take pride in being a female-led business nestled in the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. Founded by two mums who saw an opportunity to reinvent the classic Victorian boiled lolly, our journey began with the inspiration to elevate this traditional treat. Originally designed in Scotland in the late 1800s as a remedy for the common cold, the boiled lolly soon evolved into a delightful, fruit-flavoured sweet enjoyed around the world.
We believe that we've taken the boiled lolly experience to the next level by crafting our lollies with a unique "barked" texture, ensuring every piece is packed with flavour. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, offering a deliciously different experience with every bite. All our lollies are lovingly handmade in small batches from our home base in Mount Eliza, ensuring the highest quality and care in every piece.
Our lollies make wonderful gifts, perfect desk treats, charming cake decorations, amazing with ice cream or chocolate and are suited for countless other occasions. We take immense pride in our flavours and our boiled bark, and we hope you’ll find them as delightful as we do.
We’re always excited to hear from our customers, so if you have any flavour ideas, please feel free to reach out. We aim to introduce a new flavour each year!
Our mission at Halibola is simple: to serve a smile to our customers every day. We hope you feel that joy with every purchase, and we’re genuinely grateful for your support.
